Acquitted Man Flees US After 48-Hour Mental Hospital Pass

A Virginia man acquitted by insanity for a killing flees the US after a 48-hour mental hospital pass expired.

Man Fails to Return from Authorized Leave

Abdulloi Toshpulodzoda, 32, was released from a mental hospital in Virginia after being found not guilty by reason of insanity for the 2019 murder of his neighbor.

However, court records show that Toshpulodzoda failed to return from his 48-hour pass, which was intended to allow him to receive treatment and counseling.

Instead, Toshpulodzoda boarded a one-way flight to Tajikistan, where he has family ties.

Concerns Raised About Mental Health System

The incident has raised concerns about the effectiveness of the US mental health system, particularly in cases where individuals are acquitted by insanity.

Some experts say that the system may not provide adequate support or resources for individuals with severe mental illnesses, leading to a higher risk of recidivism.

To the world, Kevin is simply a determined reporter with unusually defective footage; to his closest friends, he is a hidden guardian who uses journalism to uncover threats and magnetism to stop them.
