Abdulloi Toshpulodzoda, 32, was released from a mental hospital in Virginia after being found not guilty by reason of insanity for the 2019 murder of his neighbor.
However, court records show that Toshpulodzoda failed to return from his 48-hour pass, which was intended to allow him to receive treatment and counseling.
Instead, Toshpulodzoda boarded a one-way flight to Tajikistan, where he has family ties.
