Atlanta Falcons
Although Kyle Pitts Sr. grabbed the TE2 post last year after a fast finish, the market isn't expecting a repeat. He's currently the TE8 in Yahoo drafts, landing in the mid-70s overall. Many managers have been burned by Pitts in the past, which might explain the ADP trend. But Pitts is merely entering his age-26 season, the Falcons still employ a narrow target tree and new coach Kevin Stefanski is known to feature tight ends in his scheming. I've had my ups and downs with Pitts before, too, but if he keeps this current price, I'm willing to draft him proactively.
New Orleans Saints
Juwan Johnson looks like a screaming value in early draft season. Although he finished as the TE10 last year, the market currently slots him as the TE19 in Yahoo leagues. The Saints' receiver room is still suspect after Chris Olave, and QB Tyler Shough played better than expected as a rookie. Johnson has a decent shot at 100-plus targets again, and I wouldn't be surprised if he led the Saints in touchdown catches.
Carolina Panthers
Chuba Hubbard carries a boring veteran discount as we meander through June (RB24), and that's a ticket I'm willing to write. Rico Dowdle left as a free agent in March, which means Hubbard's primary backfield competition is Jonathon Brooks, someone who has just 12 touches in two professional seasons. Hubbard was the RB12 in fantasy points per game two years ago, and I trust Dave Canales to put his primary back in a position to succeed. If you can solve the volume question for any team's backfield, you're well on your way to unearthing value.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Emeka Egbuka had a fast start and a sluggish finish as a rookie last year, though a hamstring injury dogged him down the stretch. But circle him as a possible breakout player this season. Mike Evans is gone and Chris Godwin Jr. is now 30 – it makes sense for Tampa Bay to center its passing game around Egbuka. The current Egbuka ADP is a gift – you'll find him just outside the top 50 in early Yahoo drafts.
