The Arizona Cardinals selected WR Marvin Harrison Jr. with the No. 4 overall pick in 2024 hoping they'd found a true No. 1 wide receiver to lead the offense for the foreseeable future.

Through two seasons that hasn't been the case. It isn't entirely Harrison's fault given the turmoil in Arizona from the roster and coaching perspective during that stretch. But MHJ came out of school as a vaunted prospect and hasn't lived up to the hype so far.

Entering his third NFL season, Harrison has a lot to prove in 2026 — particularly for fantasy football managers. Matt Harmon and Justin Boone talk about his outlook for this upcoming season on the latest episode of the Yahoo Fantasy Forecast.

Harmon thinks Boone is going to be more down on Harrison but that isn't the case. Boone feels like everyone is pouring on MHJ and his performance so far. Last season, Michael Wilson emerged out of nowhere and now everyone believes that will bury Harrison on the pecking order for 2026 behind Wilson and TE Trey McBride.

Wilson did most of his damage while MHJ was sidelined due to injury. When Harrison was healthy, he was the No. 1 WR, says Boone. In Year 1, Harrison didn't live up to lofty expectations. In Year 2, he got hurt. Boone begs the question, if Harrison was healthy while QB Jacoby Brissett was throwing the ball 50 times a game, if we are viewing the wideout differently entering 2026 fantasy draft season.

Boone also mentions Harrison was the WR28 in fantasy points per game last season and had five top-24 finishes in 10 games in 2025. Now, the Cardinals bring in a new coaching staff led by Mike LaFleur and if Harrison can enter the season healthy, he should have a solid outlook for fantasy.

MHJ's early ADP on Yahoo has him being selected as the WR32 for fantasy. Boone has Harrison ranked as the WR35 for half-PPR formats in his July rankings update.
