USA Basketball roster: Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers and A'ja Wilson among WNBA stars named to FIBA World Cup team

When USA Basketball takes the court for the FIBA World Cup, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark will be there. Clark was one of the many WNBA stars to make the roster for the event. She was joined by Paige Bueckers, A'ja Wilson and a number of other All-Star WNBA players.

Here's a full list of players who were named to the team Thursday:

• Caitlin Clark
• Napheesa Collier
• Kahleah Copper
• Chelsea Gray
• Rhyne Howard
• Kelsey Plum
• Angel Reese
• Breanna Stewart
• A'ja Wilson
• Jackie Young

It's tough to argue against the talent on that list. It features seven Rookies of the Year, two Defensive Players of the Year, one Sixth Player of the Year, one Most Improved Player and two MVPs. Additionally, there are multiple All-Stars and All-WNBA selections on the roster.

The probable 2026 WNBA Rookie of the Year, however, did not make the cut. Minnesota Lynx standout Olivia Miles, who is averaging 19.7 points and 5.8 assists as a rookie, was left off the team. Miles' snub does evoke memories of Clark being left off the Olympic team in 2024.

Clark was not snubbed this time around and is one of the players making her FIBA World Cup debut. That list also includes Boston, Bueckers, Collier, Howard, Reese and Young. It will also mark the first time Boston, Bueckers, Clark and Reese take part in an international competition as part of USA Basketball.

For Copper, Gray, Plum, Stewart and Wilson, it will represent an opportunity for those players to repeat as FIBA World Cup champions. Those five players were on the team back in 2022, when the U.S. defeated China to win the title.

The 2026 FIBA Women's World Cup is set to take place from Sept. 4 through Sept. 13 in Berlin.
