Mavericks offer massive 'bounty' for whoever finds one-of-a-kind Cooper Flagg autographed patch card

Cooper Flagg's autographed NBA Debut Patch card is now out in the world — and the Dallas Mavericks want it. On Thursday, the Mavericks proved they're willing to pay up, offering a huge "bounty" to whoever is lucky enough to end up with the card.

The card contains the debut patch worn by Flagg, the eventual Rookie of the Year, in his first-ever NBA game on Oct. 22, 2025. Flagg officially signed the card last month, adding significant value to the already heavily desired collectible.

That meant Dallas had to break out the big guns in order to convince someone to give it up. In exchange for the card, the full list of rewards offered by the Mavericks includes:

  • Two premium season tickets in the lower level for 32 years (a reference to Flagg's jersey number)

  • A signed, game-worn rookie jersey from Flagg

  • A post-game photo with Flagg

  • A private photoshoot with Flagg's Rookie of the Year trophy and the Championship Trophy (presumably from the Mavericks' win in 2011)

  • VIP tour of the Mavericks' practice facility and meet-and-greet with the team

  • "Private basketball experience" at Dallas' American Airlines Center for up to 10 guests

  • Roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations and game tickets to see the Mavericks play against the Boston Celtics away

WANTED: THE ONE OF ONE.

It's quite the haul. But the Mavericks are up against difficult odds: Flagg's card is expected to go for more than $1 million if it goes to auction.

That's based in part on a record-setting sale from last year: The signed rookie debut Patch card of Pittsburgh Pirates ace Paul Skenes sold for a whopping $1.11 million in March 2025.

Like Flagg, Skenes had won the 2024 NL Rookie of the Year after an excellent debut season. And like with Flagg, Skenes' team tried its best to get its hands on the card: The Pirates' offer included a pair of season tickets for 30 years (a reference to Skenes' jersey number), a softball game held in Pittsburgh's PNC Park and a full-scale spring training experience.

But it wasn't enough of an offer for the 11-year-old in Los Angeles who ended up with the card. The young collector decided to put the collectible up for auction, where it was bought by Dick's Sporting Goods to be placed in the company's House of Sport store in Pittsburgh.

It's always possible that this situation will go differently. But if Dallas wants to get a hold of this card, they'll have to hope that whoever gets it is a true Mavericks fan; otherwise, that $1 million might be a little more enticing.
