Miranda Kerr recently detailed her ultra healthy, if a bit unique, diet, which includes eating venison for breakfast and cutting out eggs altogether.

"I love food, but when I got sick, I had to learn even more that food is medicine," the former Victoria’s Secret Angel told Kristin Cavallari on her "Let’s be Honest" podcast. "So, I love to have nutritious and delicious foods that feed my soul, but, at the same time, I don’t crave like unhealthy food anymore because I know how detrimental that can be to my body on the inside, not even about what it looks like on the outside, but on the inside.

"I want to have vitality and energy and that’s kind of why I eat healthy."

Two years ago, Kerr revealed she was diagnosed with proctitis, a form of irritable bowl syndrome, when she was pregnant with her second son six years earlier.

She told Get the Gloss at the time she drank a liter of celery juice a day, which is known to be an anti-inflammatory, and said she is now in remission.

The 43-year-old supermodel told Cavallari she wants to be able to run around with her grandkids someday, "be baking them cakes like my grandma did for me" and feel healthy "for as long as" she can.

"‘Cause I think that’s more important than what you look like," she argued. "It’s so much more important that you feel that vitality, and that’s why I say that my non-negotiables are meditation. Like, I’m doing that instead of working out, I guess you could say, with the busy life that I have right now, but that’s the choice that I make because that’s what feeds me."

She said other people might be "really fed" by going for a run in the morning, for example.

"Each to their own. You have to find what elevates you, what de-stresses you," she said.

She also loves dance parties with her kids.

Kerr shares Flynn, 15, with ex-husband Orlando Bloom and Hart, 8, Myles, 6, and Pierre, 2, with her husband, Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel.

She said she’s been drinking Noni juice, which she calls a "superfood superfruit," in the morning for 30 years since she was 13.

"What I love about it is it’s full of antioxidants, and it has a lot of vitamins and minerals."

She said she drinks a 30-millimeter shot, and her youngest child has some as well, but she admitted her teenager is "not into it."

Kerr then has a marshmallow tea "because that’s good for the gut lining. S,o I get the marshmallow leaf, and then I put it and brew it in hot water."

That's followed by a few tablespoons of coconut yogurt with honey and a bite of a banana.

"I do all of this before I have my coffee. I get to my coffee, and my coffee is my moment where I’m in bliss," she admitted.

Her Fabula brand coffee, which she said is mold- and lead-free, includes coconut milk from high-end grocery store Erewhon and maple syrup.

She also doesn’t eat eggs.

"I do proteins, like meats like venison, bison, lamb, turkey. I eat all the meats that aren’t mass-produced for the reasons that we all know," she explained.

"I’m not much of a fruit girl, to be honest, but I will have a banana, and I also think a banana is a great snack to go," she said. "I do love mangoes."

She also stays away from dairy and wheat, "and I’m very specific about the oils, so only cooking with coconut oil or avocado oil. No seed oils."

Kerr said she does tallow sometimes, "mostly for the kids." She also tries to get them to eat sourdough because they refuse to eat gluten-free bread.

Lots of squash, carrots and parsnips are also on the menu.

"And I do have a little bit of salmon but not too much because of the mercury that’s in salmon," she said.

The model said she used to "live on sushi" when she lived in New York, but she doesn't eat it anymore because of the possibility of parasites.

"I do love caviar," she admitted. "Caviar’s good. There’s no parasites there."

As far as sweets, she likes carob, and she and her younger kids have tea parties where they drink lemon balm tea with carob.

"I do like chocolate, and, so, I also will make, like, a carob hot chocolate with coconut milk, maple syrup, carob. It’s really good," she added.
