Familiar faces in new places: Everything you need to know from this NFL offseason for 2026 fantasy football
Believe it or not, football is right around the corner. Wild, right? Feels like just yesterday we were watching the Seahawks coast to a Super Bowl victory over the Patriots while (hopefully) celebrating fantasy football success in 2025. If you didn't have much success in fantasy last season, that's fine, we have 2026 to look forward to.
With the end of last season came a slew of offseason moves that may have been difficult to keep track of. That's where we come in. Below we'll recap the offseason with all the most notable moves, news and notes you need to know as NFL training camps start and fantasy football draft season ramps up.

Coaching Carousel
Head coach and offensive coordinator movement happens every offseason. We had 10 head-coaching changes in 2026. Let’s quickly cover the seven most significant and one key OC hire.
-Klint Kubiak, head coach (SEA —> LVR): Kubiak helped lead the Seahawks to a Super Bowl victory as the OC in 2025. He lands in Las Vegas, where he'll adopt an offense with future franchise QB Fernando Mendoza, while also featuring RB Ashton Jeanty and TE Brock Bowers.
-John Harbaugh, head coach (BAL —> NYG): Harbaugh left his long-time post as head coach of the Ravens to take over the Giants. Along with Harbaugh, Matt Nagy was hired as the new OC. He brings an RPO-style, West Coast offense that QB Jaxson Dart will need to learn.
-Robert Saleh, head coach (SF —> TEN): Saleh is a defensive-minded coach but he's bringing in former Giants HC Brian Daboll as the new OC. Daboll worked wonders with Dart in New York, so the expectation is that he'll be able to help second-year QB Cam Ward. Daboll is also familiar with new Titans WR Wan'Dale Robinson, who signed in free agency.
-Todd Monken, head coach (BAL —> CLE): Monken was the OC for Baltimore under Harbaugh who now takes over as Cleveland's HC. His new offense could provide rushing upside for whoever wins the QB job (hopefully Shedeur Sanders). The Browns also brought in a pair of rookie WRs in Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion. Plus, Monken likes using heavy-TE looks, which would bode well for RB Quinshon Judkins.
-Jesse Minter, head coach (LAC —> BAL): Minter takes over for Harbaugh in Baltimore and is bringing in Declan Doyle as the new OC from the Ben Johnson coaching tree.
-Joe Brady, head coach (BUF promoted OC): Brady takes over for Sean McDermott, who was let go after another Bills playoff loss. Brady was the OC, so things shouldn't change drastically here.
-Mike LaFleur, head coach (LAR —> ARI): LaFleur comes from the Sean McVay coaching tree and is the brother of Packers HC Matt LaFleur. The Cardinals should pass a lot, though RB Jeremiyah Love should get his money's worth of touches.
-Mike McDaniel, offensive coordinator (MIA --> LAC): McDaniel brings his innovative offensive play-calling to Los Angeles, where he'll have plenty of talent to work with on the roster. This hire could be a huge boon for RB Omarion Hampton based on how productive Dolphins RB De'Von Achane was under McDaniel.
Notable Free Agent Moves
Malik Willis, QB, Dolphins — Willis comes over after a successful stint backing up Jordan Love in Green Bay. Willis will take over as the starter in Miami under new head coach Jeff Hafley. The QB has plenty of rushing upside for fantasy as a late-round pick.
Kyler Murray, QB, Vikings — After a messy divorce with the Cardinals, Murray lands under QB guru Kevin O'Connell in Minnesota. When healthy, Murray is always a threat with his legs. If he can win the QB job over J.J. McCarthy and learn the offense, Murray has a lot of appeal as a late-round QB with top WR Justin Jefferson.
Kenneth Walker III, RB, Chiefs — Walker was brought in fresh off a Super Bowl MVP to lead the Chiefs' rushing attack in 2026. With Patrick Mahomes coming back from a torn ACL and the receiver room shaky, Walker should get heavy volume in Year 1 in Kansas City.
Travis Etienne Jr., RB, Saints — Etienne exits Jacksonville to be the No. 1 back for New Orleans in a very exciting, budding offense under head coach Kellen Moore. Etienne will have competition in the backfield but should get the bulk of the work.
Mike Evans, WR, 49ers — Evans leaves Tampa Bay to head to the Bay Area and assume WR1 duties in the Kyle Shanahan offense. The veteran will be 33 years old before the start of the 2026 season and injuries have been more of a concern lately. But if Evans can stay healthy, he has a ton of fantasy upside in a quality offense.
Wan'Dale Robinson, WR, Titans — Robinson signed with Tennessee and his old coach Daboll (as mentioned above). He has WR1 upside if the offense can get in shape under the new coaching staff. If nothing else, he could be a nice PPR-scam wideout for fantasy.
Alec Pierce, WR, Colts — Pierce re-signed with Indy on a massive contract worth $114 million. He's recovering from ankle surgery going into camp but the new contract means Pierce should be a focal point of the passing game.
Romeo Doubs, WR, Patriots — Doubs leaves Green Bay to pair up with QB Drake Maye and OC Josh McDaniels in New England. Doubs is an intriguing sleeper at wideout if he can establish chemistry with the young signal-caller.
Isaiah Likely, TE, Giants — Likely followed Harbaugh to New York, where he'll operate as the TE1 for Dart. The former Ravens TE will be a trendy TE sleeper going into this season for fantasy.
Notable Trades
A.J. Brown, WR (PHI —> NE): The move we all saw coming months before it happened, Brown lands in New England as the new top receiving option for Maye. Perhaps a change of scenery leads to a big year.
D.J. Moore, WR (CHI —> BUF): Moore exits the Ben Johnson offense to join up with Josh Allen in Buffalo. Moore should have an easy time becoming the top target for Allen in what should be an explosive offense.
Jaylen Waddle, WR (MIA —> DEN): The Dolphins dealt Waddle to the Broncos, and he should take over as Bo Nix's favorite target. Waddle will be a trendy "this year's George Pickens" as a potential breakout in fantasy.
Michael Pittman Jr., WR (IND —> PIT): Pittman was dealt to the Steelers after spending six seasons with the Colts. The Steelers were among the worst passing offenses in the NFL last season, and needed to add a more reliable target for QB Aaron Rodgers. Pittman's arrival should mean less targets for DK Metcalf, who was an inconsistent down-field option in 2025.
Myles Garrett, DE (CLE —> LAR): Usually we wouldn't bother mentioning a deal of a defensive player but in Garrett's case we'll make an exception. He moves out to L.A. and should make the Rams D/ST a viable start each week.
