Orioles, SP Kyle Bradish agree to 5-year extension, worth reported $90 million

The Baltimore Orioles signed starting pitcher Kyle Bradish to a five-year deal, the team announced Saturday.

ESPN's Jeff Passan reported that the deal is for $90 million and pointed out that the length of the contract buys out the starter's last two years of arbitration and the first three seasons of what would have been his free agency.

Bradish is in his fifth season in Baltimore. The pitcher dealt with injuries in 2024 and 2025. He had Tommy John surgery in 2024, and it caused him to make just 14 combined starts between the two seasons.

The right-hander has started 19 games this season. He has tallied a 6-9 record with a 3.61 ERA. Bradish has the second-best ERA for the franchise this season among pitchers who have started at least 15 games so far.

Bradish joins Shane Baz as the two starting pitchers that Baltimore has signed to long-term extensions. Baz signed a 5-year, $68 million deal that ties him to the organization through the 2030 season.

Baltimore's youth movement paid off in 2023 (101-61) and 2024 (91-71), but the franchise took a step back in 2025 with a 75-87 record. The Orioles' woes have continued into 2026 as they have a 47-51 record and are in fourth place in the AL East.
